THE FABRICATION FACTS TAG
Transparency to us means providing access to information—all the information—about our business: the good, the not-so-good, and the confusing.
But while access to information is good it can also be, well, kind of boring.
Information in and of itself does not capture the spirit of what transparency is all about: the revelation of important facts.
We built the Fabrication Facts tag to highlight what we think is the most important information about the clothes we create. We attach the Facts tag to each garment so you can you can make a conscious purchase. You might notice that the Fabrication Facts tag looks a lot like a Nutrition Facts tag you find on your groceries. This was no accident. We think that knowing what goes on your body is just as important as what goes inside of it. We also believe you have a right to know detailed information about the clothes you buy.
The Fabrication Facts tag currently includes everything from hardware and fabric composition, certifications, a cost breakdown, and even the approximate amount of people involved in making the garment. By looking over the Fabrication Facts tag you can get a sense of how complex it is to make something seemingly simple as a pair of jeans or a t-shirt, how our business works, and just how many lives a single garment touches.
Ultimately, the Fabrication Facts tag is the first step in understanding what goes into making a piece of AMENDI clothing. If you have any questions about anything on the tag and what it means you can visit www.AMENDI.com/transparency for a detailed breakdown. You can also access even more information about AMENDI including a detailed list of all our suppliers and their information, as well as a glossary of certificates.
We do not claim to be perfect, only to be honest. We believe knowledge is only powerful when you share it. That’s what the Fabrication Facts tag is—shared knowledge. We want you to speculate over it and scrutinize it. We welcome it! Because only together can we all get better.
